Oh how I loved this flash...

Good Points:
This humor was excellent, I love how you portrayed the elf and how he ended up. The animation was smooth and fine, the art was clean and original on your part. It seemed to me like a plot of a movie over in a minute and a half, which I seemed hilarious, I especially loved the part at the end with Santa, didn't see that coming, nor did I see the elf joining in. The music was great, I can see why you didn't need any voice talents, it would have ruined the protagonist aspect of the main elf.

Bad Points:
I think you could have made it longer because it didn't seem to me like it was a 'short and sweet' flash, I felt you were just lacking time or something, I think you could have delved into the north pole section more, perhaps if he explored the workshop and came across more things he didn't expect, like weird reindeer or something.

Overall:
I very much loved this flash, but there is definite room for improvement. Good work mate =3

peixeaquatico responds:

Thanks dude

Pretty cool =3

Good Points:
Definitely improving, because I've been watching your animations over the past few months and your style of animation was original yet sketchy at best, but I love how you are combining filters and photoshop to create a great mix of art and your overall abilities to animate are improving substantially. Nice funny moment at the end with the Santa Claus and the 1UP mushroom, made me chuckle. I can tell you have actually played Castle Crashers considering you based the animation around an actual level in the game, it gave me a sense of familiarness that made this flash make a lot more sense.

Bad Points:
In terms of improvement, I think you should concentrate mainly on anatomy, because there were moments were I thought to myself "That arm looks wrong.." or "His leg is very poorly drawn." I also think you shouldn't have recycled certain symbols, mainly the snow enemies, I think it would have looked better if the enemies were bigger in quantity because let's face it, it's always fun to see something differ greatly from the norm.

Overall:
Great animation, I really like your style. Good work.

Hulalaoo responds:

i just start to learn anatomy and draw in a small school of art this day, is a day for reborn :3

This is what reality tastes like...

Good Points:
The level of realism based upon a fictional book almost astounded me, of course a bear would act like this, especially a talking bear. I felt this conveyed a stereotypical human male, but instead of beer, it was honey. Neat animation and an almost flawless portrayal of lower-class modern bears in surburban fictional woods.

Bad Points:
The credits were longer than the actual animation, were credits really even needed? No, I answered it for you. I know this shouldn't have been any longer than it should have been, the initial animation that is, but perhaps you could have spent more time putting more effort into the background or the bear, perhaps shading and inclusion of more characters.

Overall:
Tasty, tasty animation. I hope you take this concept and decide to build upon it in the future.

Tough but very good.

Good Points:
Loving the art, its so smooth and very arcade like, Jeff and Stamper are so good at pulling off this sort of thing and I am very impressed with The-Swains programming abilities, never thought he had it in him. The introduction was very good and the music is top quality and fits in very well. Speaking of sound, Stampers voice acting with the voice actor made me think "Wow, thats professional, I feel like I'm playing on the SNES." Except the art was so good, the SNES couldn't top it.

Bad Points:
The difficulty however, really puts you off after awhile rather than going for it, I feel like I'm not working towards anything, like an unlockable or something. The introduction menu is pretty confusing at first as the colours are so similar and jam packed on the screen it makes you navigate 5 times around the same area before realising what to do.

Overall:
Very good game. Original stuff, it's nice to see we are developing for shitty little basic platformers.

Pretty fun tool

Good Points:
I like the wide range of tools you can use this time around and what you can do with them. The ability to perfectly scale things this time round is very useful when trying to cram alot of materials into one area. The ability to unlock things makes the game almost replayable, because you can back to see what you didn't unlock and try different methods to do so.

Bad Points:
How I see it, it's the same old thing just with extra things, normally this would be fine but I figured the first one could have simply been updated. The amount of different things added does not really create much EXCITEMENT and is more or less the same old thing.

Overall:
Good game and concept, but I don't think you added enough new content to actually release it as a new game.

smokinjoeevil responds:

I didn't realease it as a new game. I clearly titled it "V2", or version 2. That basically implies that it is the same sort of thing, but upgraded or changed in some way. Which it IS, certainly. There are actually a ton more options that you probably didn't even see. Even some of the old parts got new styles applied to them, and I added more new parts, paints, new styles on old part, plus bonuses to this one than there were even regular parts in the first one.

I certainly was NOT going to do all this work, and simply update the old submission with this one. This one is nearly completely different in the scope of things you can do. From saving your in-progress work, to sharing your icon to a place that others can view it. It is far more than just an "update".

Besides... after a certain number of views are reached, updating a Flash submission requires administrative review before it goes into effect. I should know... I tried updating the last one with a spelling correction when it got to around 50,000 views, and it wouldn't let me without going through that process... which wasn't worth it for a spelling change. I'm not sure they would have even let me update that old Flash submission with something completely different (which this one obviously is - different look, new tools, updated content, new method of acquiring bonuses, different songs, ability to share, etc. etc. etc.)

Great game, very original.

Good Points:
Very good art, whats even better is the fact that you incorparated paper art and created a flick book. Not many artists have the skill or the patience to do so and thats what makes this game so good. Original idea and has lots of replay value with included mini games and amount of stages in the story.

Bad Points:
Can get abit repetitive playing through the story, considering to get to the last stages it requires quite alot of points. Another thing that actually irritated me was the fact that you couldn't change the quality. My browser couldn't take it.

Overall:
Fantastic game, great gamplay, plenty of shit to do but I do reccomend adding quality control to the rest of your games.

I love these sort of things.

Very tranquil, peaceful and emotional, very easy on the ears. It's gradual and it builds, but not very much though I'm sure that's the point of this tune.

Consistent, great tune.

Axelv responds:

Thanks for that great review. That review helped me alot about thinking different ways. ^_^

Very nice tune.

Sounds like a backing track to rap to, very R'N'B sound there.

I especially like the simplicity, very easy on the ears, well done.

WritersBlock responds:

Haha, now that you mention it, it does. Thanks. :3

Nice.

I like your voice, it sounds 'gangsta', which is always good for a successful rapper. I also like the lyrics mainly because it's narrating a small short story.

I think the beat needs more to it, different sections to add more variety.

Fantastic, I've really liking your style. It encapsulates the raw feeling of Alice In Wonderland perfectly.

ZeTrystan responds:

Happy you do! I tried to draw the big mess Alice in Wonderland looks like, hehe.

The colour palette makes it look alluringly adventurous, so bright and vibrant. The detail you put into this is great!

The extreme time you put into the details has really payed off. I'm also an avid perfectionist when it comes to details. I really like the contrast in light and shadow.

wartynewt responds:

Thank you!

'Scuse me, while I kiss the sky.
